Why a Blog?

Updated: Jul 12, 2019

As I worked to build my SEO (correction, as Sophie worked to build my SEO), I (she) decided the next step was a blog. She has already created an Instagram for me and has brought new and original content to my Facebook and LinkedIn. Before Sophie came to work with me, the FCM marketing team was doing all of the posting for me. I am grateful to the marketing team as they work relentlessly to try to make it appear like I know what I'm doing with social media. However, since Sophie started, I not only get original content, but am now producing the new content myself. She patiently (well as patient as an 18 year old can be) taught me how to use Instagram so that when she goes off to college I can be a fully functional Instagrammer.

Each week, Sophie and I talk about new marketing techniques and tools we can use. At the beginning of her internship, Sophie talked about starting a blog. We put it on the back burner for a while as she had a lot of work to do before being able to take on that big of a project. Much to my surprise, though I'm not sure why as she is a tech wiz, Sophie finished the "data-cleanup" part of her internship in just a few short days. Without much discussion with me prior, she created "The Bottom Line" and I'm honestly still trying to figure out how she created something so fantastic so quickly.

Some of what I have to say is purely philosophical. Some is based on experience. And some is just based on life.

The Bottom Line: Use the information on this blog to make your life better and ignore the parts that don't pertain.
